13X Activated Powder

13X Activated Powder

Molecular sieve activated powder
13X activated powder is a synthetic zeolite molecular sieve in fine powder form. It has a pore size of approximately 10 angstroms (Å) , which is larger than 3A, 4A, and 5A types. The "activated" part means it has been heated to remove moisture from its internal pores, making it ready to adsorb (trap) molecules effectively.

Product Description

Specific Uses

1. Removing Water and Carbon Dioxide from Air

  • Used in air separation units to clean compressed air before it is cooled into liquid oxygen or nitrogen.

  • Removes H₂O and CO₂ at the same time in a single step.

2. Drying Gases and Liquids

  • Dries natural gas, propane, or refrigerants in industrial pipes.

  • Absorbs trace water in ethanol or solvent production.

3. Plastic and Rubber Manufacturing

  • Added as a moisture scavenger in polyurethane sealants or adhesives to stop bubbles from forming during curing.

4. Specialty Coatings

  • Mixed into paint or powder coatings to prevent surface defects caused by humidity.

5. Oxygen Generation (Medical/Industrial)

  • In Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) systems, 13X powder is sometimes formed into pellets to separate oxygen from nitrogen in the air (because it holds nitrogen tighter).

6. Pollution Control

  • Traps volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or ammonia from factory exhaust gases.
